Arimasansoh Goshobessho is the oldest traditional Japanese inn in Arima Onsen town. The stylish villas and mansionettes blend Eastern and Western sensibilities. The villas have high ceilings and views of the verdant mountains and Kiyomizu Lake, while the mansionettes feature two stories and sit along a quiet stream from Taki River. All rooms have terraces, en-suite bathrooms, living rooms, and yukata robes. Guests can relax in the shared hot springs baths, which are gender-segregated but have a section where the wall recesses to shoulder-level so men and women can converse. Spa services include massage, aromatherapy, facials, body treatments, and sauna. Goshobessho self-produces the rice, vegetables, herbs, and sake in your meals, and their seafood, Kobe beef, and Taijima beef come from local sources.

The 150-year old Nakanobo Zuien is less than a kilometer from the popular points of interest Kinsengen and Kittebunka Museum. The multilingual staff collectively speaks nine languages with English, Portuguese, and Spanish speakers on duty 24-hours. There are traditional Japanese, modern Japanese, and combination Japanese- Western style accommodations, and some include private open-air baths. Nakanobo Zuien boasts a variety of shared hot spring baths including indoor, outdoor, wood, and bedrock. There are also two tubs guests can reserve for privacy. The on-site cuisine is primarily Japanese kaiseki. The exquisitely presented dishes vary by season, and guests can dine in their rooms or in the restaurant. You can order Japanese or Western fare for breakfast or a Japanese brunch starting at 11:30 am. Additional facilities include a cafe, a lounge bar, and a souvenir shop.
