A Japanese-style room traditionally does not have a western-style bed, it is a tatami floor room with futon bedding. However, if you prefer a western-style bed, you may request one though we cannot guarantee it.
Please note: If you would like to request neighboring rooms next to your traveling companions, you and your traveling companions must have the same room types in order to be next to each other. For example, if you have requested a double room, but your traveling companions have requested a twin, or triple room, then neighboring rooms cannot be accommodated. Prince Park Tower Tokyo
Wander through Tsukiji Outer Market, one of Tokyo’s
busiest street markets, where the scent of grilled seafood
and the sight of just-cut fish draw you from stall to stall.
Along the way, sample traditional tastings from market-
fresh bites to local specialties.
Explore the outer grounds of the Imperial Palace, which
include wide walkways bordered by green lawns and well-
maintained trees, and as you get closer to the entrance,
you will be able to see the iconic Nijubashi double bridge
which spans the moat surrounding the palace.
Stroll through the peaceful forest of Meiji Shrine, where
over 350 types of trees form a natural refuge from Tokyo’s
energy. Within, the shrine’s understated wooden structures
and open courtyards lend a sense of stillness and quiet
reverence.
Browse the izakaya establishments along Nonbei Yokocho
(Drunkard Alley) in Shibuya, which sells tasty Japanese
comfort foods like oden and yakitori skewers, usually
paired with sake or beer. Browse the eateries and find a
dinner on your own.
Prince Park Tower Tokyo
Ascend Tokyo Skytree, the world’s tallest tower, and step
onto the 350-meter-high Tembo Deck. Marvel at sweeping
panoramic views of Tokyo, a city of endless energy, and
catch a glimpse of Mount Fuji in the distance when skies
are clear.
Explore the sacred grounds of Sensoji Temple, a historic
Buddhist temple in Tokyo’s Asakusa district. Enter through
the iconic Kaminarimon “Thunder Gate,” dominated by its
enormous red paper lantern, then follow the bustling
Nakamise Street, lined with traditional stalls selling
souvenirs and local treats—the centuries-old approach to
the temple itself.
Stroll through the Kappabashi Kitchen Town, a haven for
culinary enthusiasts. Browse high-quality kitchenware,
from precision Japanese knives to elegant ceramics, and
marvel at the lifelike plastic food displays that decorate
restaurants across Japan.
Enjoy a dinner at Mikuni Yokohama, which serves modern
French cuisine made with seasonal ingredients, hosted by
Chef Mikuni Kiyomi. Dinner will be held between 6 pm and
9 pm, and the cost of the dinner is not included.
Prince Park Tower Tokyo
Today, we depart Tokyo for Yokohama, where we visit the
Yokohama Ramen Museum. This one-of-a-kind museum
details the history and spread of ramen noodle cuisine in
Japan. Under the museum is a recreation of a food court in
50s-era Tokyo, with a small collection of restaurants each
selling different ramen dishes. They sell full bowls of ramen
and “mini-ramen” servings, which encourage guests to try
multiple kinds.
In the afternoon, we take you to Yokohama Port to begin
your Mitsui Cruise. The cruise portion of the tour will be
managed and operated by Mitsui Ocean Cruises.

Today, you will arrive at Beppu, where you go ashore to
explore the famous Beppu Hells. These include the
Tatsumaki Jigoku (Tornado Hell), with its powerful geyser;
Chinoike Jigoku (Blood Pond Hell), with frothing red
surface; and the Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell), with its vibrant
cobalt blue depths. Soak in a soothing footbath and enjoy
sweeping views over Beppu Bay from Jumonjibaru
Observatory.
Then you will return to the ship and depart for Busan.

Today, you will arrive at Busan Port, and visit two different
sides of Busan. Discover the spiritual soul of Busan from
Haedong Yonggungsa, a Buddhist temple by the sea with
pagodas overlooking the sea create breathtaking views.
The head to Gukje Market, one of Korea’s largest
international markets, where you can browse the stalls and
shops selling street food, textiles, souvenirs, and more.
Then you will return to the ship and depart.

Today, you will arrive at Akita Port, just in time for the
thrilling Kanto Festival. Your night at the festival is an
unguided evening experience, where you are free to
wander at will, and see the performers balancing towering
bamboo poles hung with glowing paper lanterns on their
palms, shoulders, and foreheads. Immerse in the nighttime
festival atmosphere full of chanting, music, and food stalls,
and enjoy the Kanto Festival at your own pace.
Then you will return to the ship and depart for Aomori.

Today, the ship will arrive at Aomori Port in time to see the
vibrant Nebuta Festival. This will be an unguided evening
experience where you will have the opportunity to wander
the festival at will and enjoy it at your own pace. Massive
illuminated floats depicting mythical beings and legendary
warriors, accompanied by musicians playing taiko drums
and flutes, and the energetic haneto dancers. Freely
explore the festival and browse the festival foods and
colorful stalls in an atmosphere of wonder and delight.
Then you will return to the ship and depart for Miyako.

Enjoy a 3-hour excursion of Jodogahama on the scenic
Sanriku Coast. Explore the pine-covered shores of
Jodogahama Beach and enjoy a cruise past rugged rock
formations, sea caves, and other coastal features, along

After, you will return to the ship for the return journey to
Yokohama.
