Room Type Explained

Single Room

Single room types are rooms for single room occupants.
One person will be occupying the hotel room throughout the tour.

Twin Room

Twin room types are rooms set for two people who will occupy one room, but will have two separate beds.

Double Room

A double room is a room that has one bed for two people to share.

Triple Room

A triple room is one room where three people may share the same room. It has three separate beds.

Japanese Style Room

A Japanese-style room traditionally does not have a western-style bed, it is a tatami floor room with futon bedding. However, if you prefer a western-style bed, you may request one though we cannot guarantee it.

Please note: If you would like to request neighboring rooms next to your traveling companions, you and your traveling companions must have the same room types in order to be next to each other. For example, if you have requested a double room, but your traveling companions have requested a twin, or triple room, then neighboring rooms cannot be accommodated. However, if both you and your traveling companions match in room type, then neighboring rooms will likely be arranged for your convenience.

While cruising is a great way to see a wide range of locations, you will often find that there is more you wish to see further inland. And indeed, Japan is certainly one of the locations you will want to see overland. Though considered an island nation, visits to many of the most important cultural sites cannot be achieved in a simple stopover. Day1

Welcome to Osaka!

Upon arrival at Osaka Kansai Airport, proceed through customs and meet your guide just outside the exit gate; they will be holding an “All Japan Tours” sign for easy visibility. Proceed to your hotel via private coach. Upon arrival at the hotel, you will be free for leisure.

Day2

Nara - Kyoto

We will travel to Nara and visit one of Japan’s most famous temples and a landmark of Nara, Todaiji Temple. Outside the temple, interact with the wild deer of Nara Deer Park. There are special deer crackers available at every corner of the area. Next, you will enjoy a relaxing Green Tea Ceremony. This activity was once only available for the social elite. Today, it will be even more special as your host will be an apprentice Geisha, known as a Maiko. Lastly, we will see the Fushimi Inari Shrine, renowned for its trail of thousands of torii gates.

Day3

Kyoto

Continue to explore Kyoto, traveling to Nijo Castle, a designated UNESCO world heritage site and a perfect architectural example of castles from the feudal era of Japan. While at the Nishijin Textile Center, you can view displays of kimonos and watch the Nishijin Kimono fashion show. Visit Kinkaku-ji, the Golden Pavilion, so known because it is covered with 18-karat gold leaf. This three-story structure was originally built by the Shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu in 1397. Then we will tour the Arashiyama district. First is a visit to see Tenryuji Temple where you can catch a glimpse of the traditional landscape garden design. Then proceed through a dense bamboo grove, past several small shrines, tea shops, and private houses before arriving at the Togetsukyo Bridge over Hozu River. We will end our day in the Gion Geisha District, where its streets are lined with ochaya (teahouses), exclusive establishments where guests are entertained by Geisha and Maiko.

Day4

Kyoto - Koka

Today, we will tour Kiyomizu-dera, a famous temple in Japan that is best known for its large wooden stage that overlooks a hillside of natural scenery. Visit Miho Museum, which exhibits stunning architecture that accentuates the surrounding natural scenery while exhibiting a variety of items from ancient civilizations. It was designed by the renowned architect, I. M. Pei, and is named after Koyama Mihoko, one of the richest women in Japan and the founder of the museum. Moreover, the museum has been listed as one of the "1000 Places to See Before You Die". Next, experience a Shinkansen bullet train ride, which can reach speeds of up to 320 km/hr. (200mph). Tonight, relax in the onsen hot spring and enjoy a traditional kaiseki dinner at your hotel.

Day5

Hakone - Mt Fuji - Tokyo

Travel to the land at the base of Mt. Fuji where we will take a 20-minute ropeway ride from Togendai to Owakudani. Along the ropeway, weather permitting, there will be great views of Mt. Fuji in the distance. While in Owakudani, visitors will have the chance to see hot springs and sulfurous fumes along the trails of an active volcanic zone. If the weather is in our favor, we will travel to Mt. Fuji’s 5th station, the most popular and convenient spot to enjoy views of the iconic mountain. Our final destination of the day will be Shibuya, where visitors can experience the famous Shibuya crossing, take pictures with the Hachiko statue, and enjoy shopping.

Day6

Tokyo

In the morning, you will be taken to Asakusa Kannon Temple, an active place of worship where you can see the largest paper lantern in Japan. You will also be able to explore the Nakamise Market, which is located right after the temple's outer gates. This is a traditional- style shopping street with several centuries of history. Next, learn how to create your own sushi with a professional sushi chef. Whatever you make, you will get to eat for lunch! Afterwards, make your way to the Tsukiji Outer Market, filled with shops and restaurants where you can try fresh produce and other food- related goods. Then, pay a visit to the Imperial Palace, the former site of Edo Castle and current residence of Japan's Imperial Family. Our last destination for the day will be famous Tokyo Tower, the communications tower standing at 333 meters as the second tallest structure in Japan. Note: For Sushi Making Experience, if you are a vegetarian, on a gluten- free diet, have a seafood allergy, or don't eat raw fish, please contact us for other ingredient options.

Tokyo / Yokohama / Yokohama Port

In Yokohama you will visit Sankeien Garden, a traditional Japanese style garden with historic buildings and structures. Afterwards, we will visit the Yokohama Ramen Museum, where visitors can learn about the origin and history of Japanese ramen. Our next stop will be Yokohama China Town, where visitors can enjoy local Chinese food and stroll along the biggest china town in Japan. In the afternoon, you will transfer to Yokohama Port.
