The tour was excellent and very enjoyable and the itenary was very well put together, allowing us to experience the real Japan with stays at the beautiful resort on the Izu Peninsula and the traditional ryokan, onsens, traditional Japanese meals, and the Shinkansen. Our tour guide, Kim, was awesome! She gave us a lot of information and she was funny too. She very clearly loves being a tour guide. Our driver, Shimura-San was excellent. This tour fulfilled my bucket list of visiting the snow monkeys and I wouldn’t hesitate to go on another tour with All Japan Tours.

We saw so many amazing places in a well-organized manner. It was wonderful not having to worry about luggage or travel logistics and just enjoy the relaxing scenery on the bus. Our tour guide Kim and bus driver Shimura were top-notch. It’s hard to choose a favourite activity we did, but probably seeing the snow monkeys in their onsen. That was really magical. I would definitely consider signing up for a longer tour next time, and I would highly recommend AJT to anyone planning a trip to Japan!

Our tour guide was fantastic. She had sense of humor and her knowledge of Hokkaido was excellent. Also the bus drivers specially the second driver was very considerate and kind. We enjoyed the Hokkaido trip more than we expected. We will tell our friends about the trip.

Excellent tour; so many activities and places packed into 8 touring days! The tour was an excellent blend of the big city festivals, such as those in Sapporo, with those in smaller towns such as Asahikawa and Sounkyo. The visit to the Ski Jump Observatory was amazing, particularly coming on the first day of the 2026 Winter Olympics. The tour of the Okhotsk Ryu-hyo Museum in Abashiri and, especially, the trip aboard the icebreaking vessel, were particular highlights for me. Ms. Kim was an outstanding guide, being very knowledgeable of Hokkaido and the Ainu culture; she provided meaningful insights throughout the tour while somehow keeping us all on schedule! Unfortunately, I don't recall the name of the driver we had for all but the first day of the tour, but I must comment here that he was amazing! There were several days in which we were driving in near blizzard conditions or heavy traffic; he was very calm and careful throughout.

We had an absolutely fantastic time on the tour. Kimsan was the most wonderful host and both Yamamotosan and Takemotosan were great drivers. We felt so sorry for Yamamotosan when through no fault of his own he was sideswiped by an elderly lady leaving a garage (especially as we were so close to the hotel) Kimsan is incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She infected us with her happiness and positivity and therefore made the trip feel very special.

Winter in Japan is as beautifully stunning and impactful as my favorite season, the fall. Everywhere you look, it's beautiful. Our guide Kim was outstanding in her gracious and patient nature. She went out of her way to make sure that I was able to survive my food allergy. The guide on any tour makes or breaks the experience and Kim managed to accommodate each of us, no matter the size of the group. The route was well- considered and I felt that we touched on many important landmarks in urban areas and the countryside.

The tour was great, but Kim, our guide, made it amazing. The stories, the facts and the sense of humor made it fun and stress free the entire time. The drivers were also amazing, especially our first driver, who had to be replaced when a bad driver hit our bus. It was not his fault at all, but he and Kim handled it amazingly.
