Private Tour 0521

5/21/2026 - 6/2/2026 / 2026-05-21

Maria's Group

The tour was great and enjoyed by all. It was difficult often to understand the guide's English but it kind of grew on the group as time went on. Recommend better English speaker for English groups. Very disappointing not to have the restaurant names and menus for the group in advance - in fact it was never received. The tour was good but a bit busy, I would cut out the Museum outside of Hakone as it was alot of travel on the coach for so little time - less than 45 minutes at the museum. I would also consider not including Hakone for just the one night. Would probably consider the train from Tokyo straight to Kyoto and avoid the long bus rides. Overall, the tour was very good and enjoyed by all.

Nakasendo & Kiso Valley Walking & Hiking Tour: Spring

5/21/2026 - 6/2/2026 / 2026-05-21

Christopher & Marie-Louise

Outstanding experience. Most beautiful scenery. Yuki was well organised, very informative about all aspects of the tour and culture of Japan. She showed great awareness of the different needs and capabilities of the group and addressed them in polite and supportive ways. We were well prepared for any challenges on the walk thanks to the detailed information provided beforehand. The traditional accomodation and food were highlights of the trip.

The Golden Route Japan Tour Spring (Reverse)

5/20/2026 - 5/26/2026 / 2026-05-20

Leslyn & Ibrahim

We had a GREAT time! I was pleasantly surprised to only have 10 members in our group, and we really enjoyed getting to know each other. Hoshino was a wonderful guide who was very knowledgeable about Japanese history and culture, and Kuba-san was a great bus driver – very pleasant and professional. They graciously and skillfully accommodated a group member who used a walker/wheelchair, which didn’t slow down the tour at all for the rest of us. In my opinion, the only bummer on our tour was the weather, which I admit was not the worst weather that we could have experienced if we had chosen a different month for our tour. I was just expecting mild, spring weather, but it rained on our first full day of the tour while we were at Nara Deer Park and Fushimi Inari Shrine with the 1,000 torii gates so our pictures weren't great, and we didn’t get to feed the deer because the rice cracker vendors were nowhere to be found. And then, it was really hot and humid for most of the other days, but our tour guide remained positive and professional, and he kept to the itinerary to make sure we saw everything that we signed up to see. The food was INSANE! We ate so much yummy food - especially at the "all you can eat" (and drink!) buffet at the Hotel Wellseason Hamanako for dinner and the following day's breakfast. The freshwater eel was to die for! My husband and I were too embarrassed to try the onsen, but the ladies on our tour who did it absolutely loved it and even got to experience the peaceful outdoor pool. Next time, we’re doing it for sure! The tour was a good balance of seeing many sites and having free time to explore on our own. There were probably some sites that we would have wanted a little more time at and others a little less, but it was great to be able to do as much as we did in just 5 full days. One thing that might have been nice to know ahead of time is if we were having lunch or dinner on our own, what time would that be so we could possibly make a reservation at a popular restaurant ahead of time. Still, it was fine that we were able to just wander around and find amazing food just on the spot. The tour really helped us feel comfortable getting around the city for our four extra days in Tokyo after the tour ended. I highly recommend this tour and tour company!

Charms of Southern Japan Tour Spring

5/17/2026 - 5/24/2026 / 2026-05-17

Duane & Rosemarie

We recently completed the “Charms of Southern Japan” tour with All Japan Tours, and it exceeded all of our expectations. The itinerary was incredibly well planned and gave us the opportunity to experience a beautiful mix of history, culture, scenery, spirituality, food, and modern Japan. Some of the unforgettable highlights included the breathtaking floating torii gate at Miyajima, the moving visit to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, the stunning Takachiho Gorge, the Beppu hot springs, Nagasaki’s historic sites, and the wonderful Wagyu dinner in Fukuoka. Every day brought something unique and memorable. What truly made this trip exceptional, however, was our outstanding tour guide, Kimi-san. Kimi-san was absolutely wonderful throughout the entire tour. She was organized, professional, knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly caring toward every member of the group. Traveling across multiple cities, trains, ferries, hotels, and attractions could have been stressful, but Kimi- san made everything feel smooth and effortless. She provided excellent explanations about Japanese history, culture, traditions, and local customs, which made each destination much more meaningful. She was always attentive to everyone’s needs, helped with luggage logistics, transportation, questions, restaurant suggestions, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and included. What impressed us most was her kindness and genuine warmth. She consistently went above and beyond to help people, always with a smile and positive attitude. You could tell she truly cared about making sure every guest had an amazing experience. The hotels, transportation, meals, and overall organization of the tour were excellent. We especially appreciated how efficiently everything was coordinated, from the Shinkansen rides to the ferry crossings and hotel transfers. This was one of the best guided tours we have ever taken, and much of that credit goes to Kimi-san. We would highly recommend this tour and All Japan Tours to anyone wanting to experience the beauty and culture of southern Japan in a comfortable, organized, and meaningful way. Thank you again to Kimi-san and the entire AJT team for such a memorable journey.

Private Tour 0516

5/16/2026 - 6/1/2026 / 2026-05-16

The Shah Group

We have just returned to London after an incredible 17- day tour of Japan, and we cannot thank Kiyoshi, Justin, and the team (from All Japan Tours) enough. From the initial planning stages, through to the end of our trip, communication was excellent. Every question and itinerary change was answered and handled promptly. Justin’s help with vegetarian restaurant reservations ensured that every meal was enjoyable and stress-free. The itinerary was exceptionally well planned and perfectly suited to our interests. The carefully selected temples, shrines, gardens, observatories, and other attractions gave us a wonderful insight into Japan, with each destination offering its own unique experiences and enjoyment, building on the memories of the previous town. The hotels chosen were generally excellent and provided comfortable accommodation with adequate space. The only exception was the Vista Hotel in Hiroshima, where the rooms were quite small and the facilities were limited compared with the other hotels on our tour. We would suggest considering alternative accommodation for future. We feel very fortunate to have Shu as our guide. He made our trip so special with his knowledge, kindness, and great sense of humour. He always answered our many questions and helped bridge the communication and cultural gaps, especially when it came to our Jain dietary requirements. We really appreciated most was the genuine interest Shu took in learning about our faith while sharing and explaining so much about Japan’s history, religion, traditions and culture. He gave a full insight in Japanese way of life. He quickly understood the kinds of experiences we enjoyed and thoughtfully adapted the trip to suit us. He was so funny at times and made us all laugh , especially his attempts to speak Gujrati language often had us in tears. He would go to length to make sure we all were looked after well. His thoughtful farewell karaoke and video on our last day was a lovely surprise and which we will always remember. We would be asking for Shu when we re-visit Japan and have already told all our relatives and friends that Shu as a guide is a must if you want to have a wonderful time in Japan. I could write a lot more about Shu and everything he did to make our once in a lifetime trip truly memorable. By the end of the trip, Shu was part of the family. We would also like to give special thanks to all of our drivers for their professionalism and care throughout the journey, especially Umino and Tokoyama for their hospitality. Overall, the entire trip exceeded our expectations, and we would have no hesitation in travelling withAll Japan Tours company again or recommending their services to family and friends.

Highlights of Korea & Japan Tour Spring

5/15/2026 - 5/25/2026 / 2026-05-15

Valeriia & Iryna

This tour was absolutely amazing! My mom and I had a wonderful time exploring both Korea and Japan. Since this was our first group tour, we weren't sure what to expect, but everything was exceptionally well planned and organized. The accommodations, private transportation, admission tickets, and several lunches and dinners were all included, which made the experience completely stress- free. We didn't have to worry about logistics and could simply enjoy the destinations, activities, and cultural experiences along the way. Our guides in both Korea and Japan spoke excellent English and shared a wealth of information about each country, its history, and the places we visited. We also really appreciated the thoughtful itinerary, which included several destinations that would have been difficult to visit independently. In Korea, one of the highlights was visiting Andong Hahoe Folk Village, a beautiful cultural site that is quite far from Seoul and would have been challenging for us to reach on our own. We also visited the Korean DMZ, and thanks to our guide, the entire experience was smooth, informative, and hassle-free. In Japan, we participated in a traditional tea ceremony and learned how to prepare matcha, which was something I had been especially looking forward to. We also visited incredible destinations such as Owakudani and Mount Fuji. These locations are a bit outside Tokyo and would have been more difficult to arrange on our own, so having them included in the tour was a huge benefit. Overall, this was an excellent introduction to group travel. Everything was well organized, the guides were knowledgeable and friendly, and the itinerary struck a great balance between sightseeing, cultural experiences, and convenience. We made wonderful memories and would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in visiting Korea and Japan.

Highlights of China and Japan Tour Spring

5/13/2026 - 10/24/2026 / 2026-05-13

Joseph & Jordan

We very much enjoyed each of the tour stops with our local guides. The days in China were shorter than those in Japan and we had more free time than I realized, which was not a bad thing. We enjoyed the days with free time at the end, but I wasn't sure how to plan ahead of time because there wasn't really a time estimate for each day. I do understand that is hard to estimate with tour sizes, tourist volume, and individual case by case basis. However, possibly a tentative end time or number of hours spend on tour each day could be helpful. The food recommendations and restaurants our local guides took us to were phenomenal. I loved very much that it wasn't a tourist trap, and we were eating with locals. We enjoyed being on a private tour in China, we did not expect that. We also loved the group we toured with in Japan. I would have loved to be able to connect with them before the trip. We did have a slight issue with the airline we flew with from DFW airport to Hong Kong and finally Beijing to start the tour. We were almost denied checking in and were very close to missing our flight due to a visa misunderstanding. I had emailed with AJT ahead of time to confirm that we were in the visa free range for China as we were there less than 240 hours. The Cathay Pacific attendants were adamant that we were not allowed for more than 6 days. The attendant suggested that we purchase another return flight that went straight from Tokyo to DFW, to avoid coming back through Hong Kong. I once again assured them that was unnecessary but they were refusing to let my Dad and I check into our flight and we had been there for over 2 hours. When it looked like we were going to miss our flight, I purchased yet another 2 return flights for $1800 so they would check us in and let us board the flight to Hong Kong. An employee for AJT also spoke on the phone to the attendant and Cathay Pacific employee- but to no avail. I know this is not your fault, but I would maybe avoid using or booking through Cathay Pacific specifically in the DFW airport to avoid other customers going through this very expensive and stressful time.

Japan in Depth with Okinawa: Kyoto Aoi Festival

Mary & Thomas

My boyfriend and I were very pleased with our tour, and are considering traveling with you again next year. I especially want to commend Kim Kida, who did an excellent job of guiding us through our days and our busy itinerary, with a personal and caring touch. And we can't forget our driver Niwa, who was behind the wheel for over half of the time we spent on tour in Japan. He took the time to greet each passenger each time we boarded and disembarked. We loved seeing his smiling face! And also everyone who had a hand in arranging my meals. I am vegan, and thought it might be a bit of a challenge to adhere to that while in Japan, but I enjoyed great food throughout the tour. Everyone I had contact with exceeded expectations!
