Kim, our tour guide, was wonderful. The weather wasn't cooperative on some days but Kim made the best of it. I had hoped to see Mt Fuji but, like the Northern Lights, it requires some luck. I was also surprised how good the food was at the service areas. I would definitely recommend this trip to my friends. I will also consider other AJT trips.

Kim san and Nakano san were fantastic. Kim san frequently helped navigate the language and cultural differences. The history and backgrounds were enjoyable to learn. The accommodations, with the exception of the hotel in Nakita, were outstanding. Each meal included was exception. The transportation was fantastic.

Both of the guides, Melvin in Korea and Kim in Japan were both helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. The van/bus transportations were very clean, and the drivers were very professional. I loved all of the hotels that we stayed in, and was especially happy to be able to experience a hotel with a Japanese bath. My daughter especially loved all the food, and I loved the tea ceremony with the maiko.

In spite of a rough start to the tour. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Mr. Jett Lai was a superb and knowledgeable tour guide as well as very kind and accommodating. He was everything I would want in a tour guide. I hope to have him the next time I go to Taiwan. Kida Kim-san was my tour guide in Japan. She has such a great sense of humor and a is a great story teller. She also has an excellent memory. I understand she is going into semi-retirement after our tour. I really wish her the best. I would love to have her as a guide again in the future! Shoutout to Nakano-san for being a great driver he really is a trooper! Thanks for everything!

Ms. Miharu was great and also our bus driver (bus #81) for driving us to our destinations safe everyday. Miharu is very knowledgeable and comical, we really enjoyed her company and knowledge.

I cannot rave enough about this tour. Miharu and Joyce (subbed for 2 days) were our top notch hard working guides. I appreciate the history and interesting side stories were communicated on the bus, so at most locations we were able to explore on our own. The hotels, meals and coach were very comfortable & enjoyable. Everything was ready and prepared when the group arrived. The itinerary is well paced and full so you get your money's worth. The sushi making, Ninja throwing and Maiko tea ceremony & performance were so much fun and a compliment to just sight seeing. This was a very memorable trip with a great group of fellow travelers. All in all, a very well organized tour and I would not hesitate to book another with AJT.

Deep dive tour of Japan was thoroughly enjoyable and enriching. I learned a lot about Japan! Ms. Miharu is an excellent tour guide. I enjoyed her stories about culture, family life, history, and anecdotes. The bus drivers were excellent, skillfully navigating the roads and highways. I really enjoyed the hot springs hotel and the meals were amazing. The fish head was tasty. The tour was a good variety of sites and experiences.

Great tour! There was a variety of activities and types of meals to ensure that we experienced different things and the tour guides were terrific! They gave a lot of interesting and entertaining information, as well as cultural advice (e.g., behavioral expectations may the onsen). It was amazing.

Great communication leading up to tour and during the tour. Responses to our questions came quickly and we always knew what was coming up the next day on the tour or any changes that needed to be made. The company was also extremely helpful when we left a backpack behind at a hotel (which contained one of our passports), assisting us in getting it shipped to our next destination. The guide was wonderful, very well organized with a lot of interesting information about the culture and the sights we were going to see. She also did a great job keeping us all together and on schedule. We had very nice hotels throughout our stay and really enjoyed the chance to ride the bullet train at one part of our trip. Just a wonderful mix of types of activities with flexibility allowed so persons could have some time for the particular type of activity they were most interested in. Our tour size was very nice in that it allowed us to get to know each other fairly well and also allowed us plenty of room on the bus when we were using that. It was good to be warned about how much walking was involved and we felt we were in better shape by the end of the trip.
