Our Tokyo and Hiroshima guides were absolutely wonderful, and we had an amazing time learning about the history and culture of each place with them. Our Tokyo guide, Mark, went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and confident navigating the city. We even privately started calling him our grandfather because he cared about our trip with the same warmth and attentiveness you would expect from family. Our Hiroshima guides were incredibly kind and thoughtful, and we found ourselves wishing we had more time there. I even teared up saying goodbye to them at the train station. I would happily recommend AJT again because our Tokyo and Hiroshima guides added so much to our overall experience.

I recently returned from an unforgettable trip to Japan that was beautifully curated by AJT Tours, and I cannot recommend the experience highly enough. Osaka was full of life and flavor with its incredible food scene, vibrant streets, and friendly atmosphere. Tokyo brought everything together with its dazzling mix of modern innovation, historic neighborhoods, and beautiful green spaces that offered a perfect balance of excitement and calm. AJT did an incredible job creating an itinerary that highlighted the best of Japan while also giving us time to explore and enjoy at our own pace. The attention to detail with accommodations, meals, transportation, and pacing made everything effortless so all we had to do was soak in the experience. This was truly the trip of a lifetime. I came home with unforgettable memories, a deeper appreciation for Japan, and so much gratitude for AJT, Miyuki, and Katsumi for making it all possible. Planning a multi-city Japan adventure can feel like trying to solve a Sudoku on a speeding Shinkansen, but AJT made every piece click perfectly. From start to finish, our trip was seamless. I am already making plans for a family trip to Japan (this was a girl's trip) and will definitely still do it through AJT. Hotels: Every property was a winner, well located, spotless, and full of thoughtful touches that made us feel spoiled. Hakone especially was just incredible but honestly all places they booked for us were great. Directions & Logistics: The itinerary was like a cheat- code for Japan. I especially loved the AJT handbook we received before the trip, which not only mapped out logistics but also educated us on cultural nuances and things to know about Japan. It was invaluable and made us feel confident and prepared. Support: AJT were wonderfully responsive in the run-up to the trip, answering our many questions with care, patience, and grace. Guides: Miyuki in Hakone and Katsumi in Kyoto were absolute gems. Knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely fun to spend the day with. Katsumi was like a walking talking history book and we loved learning about Japan and teaching him about our home country. The result was a trip that felt effortless, immersive, and unforgettable. The tour was great! the AJT people were super helpful, and our private drivers were great. Our Kyoto tour guide was the best! He was fun and insightful. I really liked how detailed the travel instructions were. It made my work, herding my brother and friend, much easier.
