Definitely 5 star rating for AJT! From start to finish this company has been amazing. It started with correspondences via email when I first made inquiries. All the reps were prompt when returning emails with answers to questions asked. They were so reliable! It made me feel very confident in booking our ideal Japan trip. What really prompted me to book this "Anime Flavor” tour were the included tickets to see the Ghibli museum which avoided the hassle of buying them on our own! Many times I heard of others trying to get tickets on their own and were unable to obtain them. To have these tickets built into our tour package was priceless! I was so impressed with the whole touring package. They delivered everything that was promised in the itinerary. It hit all the major highlights of the things I personally wanted to see during our trip. You definitely get your money's worth! The hotel choices were amazing and seemed to get more impressive and luxurious as the trip went on beginning in Tokyo and ending in Osaka. The breakfast buffets that were included every morning had wonderful spreads. All the other meals included in the tour did not disappoint either. For the meals that were not included, the tour plan always had stops for us to choose our own meals at some type venue be it a food court at a mall or a rest station which were still of very good quality. We had the liberty to make our own choices for either a lunch or dinner that wasn’t included each day. A key contributor to our AJT experience was our guide, Ito-san who played such an integral part. He was not just our travel guide, but an excellent historian, comedian, magician (he performed several fun tricks during the long bus rides), philosopher of life, good shepherd, ambassador, singer, and so much more! He was a faithful Hachiko as well, waiting patiently for us after each excursion and making sure our whole touring group was accounted for prior to the next travel spot. Having been a tour guide for 30+ years, it definitely shows! We also had an excellent bus driver, Kurosawa- san (I hope I spelled it right). He was the kindest soul who always greeted us when we entered the bus and wished us well when we exited the bus. His big-bus- maneuvering skills were very impressive and kept us safe as we traveled over 2200km over the course of the tour! The bus seats were very comfortable and had WiFi which was perfect to help bide the time between stops (and update social media with new photos from the latest sights lol). I can rave on and on! We had one minor hiccup at the beginning of our trip, though not the fault of AJT or the Green Tomato shuttle bus that drove us from Haneda airport to our Tokyo hotel. My husband accidentally left this cell phone in the seat pocket of that shuttle bus. AJT had all bases covered and had already provided an emergency list of local contacts for these type of things. Via WhatsApp, we contacted Ms. Yashima who spoke with the shuttle bus company that evening. The company was able to find my husband’s phone and return it to the front desk of our hotel the next day! Crisis resolved!

We had an absolutely wonderful time with the tour. The accommodations were all terrific, comfortable and with great service. We enjoyed having the breakfast buffets as well as the various traditional Japanese meal experiences provided throughout. The set-up of the tour was great and the smaller group size was really appreciated. Finally, our guide Hiroko Hirakawa was an absolute joy! She was knowledge, high-energy and so helpful. She brought a great dynamic to the group, was responsive to the needs of the group and really made us feel so welcome. We would definitely recommend AJT to anyone looking for an amazing taste of Japan!

We all really loved the Tour! Billy was a great tour guide...he provided a ton of information about each site we went to, great instructions, and he was very helpful with any special requests. The bus was clean and comfortable and the hotels and accommodations were excellent! Overall the tour was the trip of a lifetime. It went very smoothly thanks to Billy and we got to see SO much of Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka. We loved it!
