Our tour guide, Billy, the driver and itinerary were all great. We learned much about Japan - including modern attitudes as well as great stories from history. We enjoyed every day. Great mixture of seeing historical sites and some fun with monkeys and deer. The Geisha dinner, tea ceremony, Jidai festival parade and Kimono rentals were all fun. Making sushi was fun. We loved the Itchiku Kubota Kimono and The Hokusai-kan Museums. I will recommend AJT to everyone I meet. We enjoyed the company of fellow travelers and the warm hospitality from everyone we met.

This was my first experience traveling as a single; as such, I was a little apprehensive. Tour guide Jackie was so thoughtful, took very good care of me and made sure I had a memorable trip. Jackie was so organized the itinerary flowed smoothly. Jackie is extremely knowledgeable about the culture and history of Japan.

Overall nice, tour was somewhat informative. Accommodations were mixed, food was good but breakfasts were basically the same, not bad but same. Seemed rushed at times when you get to hotel for that day at 5pm and had to be up and ready to go by 7am next morning. Trying to fit some site seeing, eating, doing laundry on occasion was short.
