** Accommodations & Service: World-Class Excellence The hotels chosen by AJT were exceptional, luxurious, comfortable, and ideally located. The service at every venue was impeccable, with staff going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. As strict vegans, we found meal accommodation to be somewhat challenging at times. However, every effort was made to ensure our dietary needs were met, and our tour guide went above and beyond to make it right for us, his dedication was truly commendable. From the perspective of others in our group, the meals were a delightful fusion of traditional Japanese flavors and modern presentation, offering an authentic and memorable culinary experience.

As this was my family's first trip to Japan, it was probably the best decision I made to sign-up for the Best of Japan Tour as it took all the guesswork, logistics, planning, booking out of the picture. All we needed to do was to show up at the set times and be shuttled in comfort to the all the major tourist spots, having time to shop, explore, and eat. Our guide, Billy, did a great job preparing us for each of the locations we'd be visiting, providing historical context or perhaps cultural guidelines on what to expect (how to make and eat sushi or how to enjoy the onsen, etc.). He also made sure that everyone's dietary preferences were accounted for. Our driver, Mr. Aizawa, greeted us warmly every time we boarded and departed, skillfully maneuvered the massive motor coach swiftly to each location, took care of our luggage, and went to great lengths to ensure our comfort. We made new friends with the other tour members as we got to explore Japan together. Just expect a large mass of tourists at the major attractions and depending on the time of year, brutal heat and humidity. All in all, this was a priceless, memorable experience, and my family is already looking forward to returning. Thank you AJT!

To AJT – First, I want to apologize it took so long to write you a review. Unfortunately, the day we returned home from our trip our dad passed away that night therefore things have been rather busy. My brother and I had an amazing time. Booking through AJT truly made our experience so easy and stress free. The instructions we received were very clear and easy to follow. Prior to the trip it was always easy to email and have any questions answered as well. From the moment we landed things went very smoothly the person was easy to spot that picked us up and was so helpful and friendly. I’m glad we decided to arrive a day early before the tour, while it was an adventure for us not knowing anything (no being there before) it was a great learning experience to do it on our own. Our second day there, which was the first day of our tour we met Ken our guide. He was very nice, very knowledgeable, and a pleasure to be around! Also, another note was my brother and I very much appreciated the small group (6 of us total). We saw many other groups throughout our stay and we were so grateful we weren’t apart of a big bus group. It made things so much more intimate and we enjoyed the company of the people that were with us! I can’t even express how much fun we had, all I can say is we can’t wait to come back and do it again! My brother and I are planning on returning to Japan in 2028 for the Cherry Blossoms and we are excited to look at another tour group package for part of our stay. We liked how we had so many days to explore and see things by guided tour and then we had days after on our own to go out and explore things we wanted to spend more time at. It really worked out perfectly. That brings me to another point AJT made our stay so easy by booking our hotels for extra days. We transitioned to different hotels so flawlessly. Our tour ended in Osaka we stayed an extra night then we took the Shinkansen back to Tokyo. Ken was so helpful and made sure we bought our tickets correctly to get back to Tokyo prior to us saying goodbye from the tour.

I overall had a great time in Japan despite the hot weather. The tour guides were friendly and informative, and we got to visit a lot of great local's in our itinerary. We got visit shine's, temples, shops, learn the customs of Japanese culture, visit the merchandise shops, eat good food, learn the countries history and so-forth. The hotel's were also comfy and luxurious. On top of that, everyone who I meet in Japan was very friendly and helpful. I'm also glad I booked the Anime flavour version of this tour so I could visit place's like Akihabara in Tokyo and check out all of the pop culture stores. Everything after that felt like an adventure going across the country of Japan.

We had an amazing time on our tour! Every day was packed with travel and seeing places that we never could have fit into 10 days if we were on our own. Our tour guide, Billy, was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable about every place we visited, and had a lot of great information to share with us each step of the way. The amount of planning and thought that was put into the activities each day was impressive. The festival was the highlight of the tour. We were thoroughly satisfied with the tour and would come back in the future!
