The main reason I chose this tour was the hands on experiences, and I wasn't disappointed in those. This was a small tour group--I like that, but would have still chosen this tour even if the group was larger. I like the flexibility of the tour--if something came up, there was usually an alternative. We had a medical emergency, and I think that was handled well. We were in Kochi on Sakamoto Ryoma's birthday and found out about the dance festival-- not on the tour schedule, but worth attending. Excellent guide, driver, and tour escort.

Our Tokyo and Hiroshima guides were absolutely wonderful, and we had an amazing time learning about the history and culture of each place with them. Our Tokyo guide, Mark, went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and confident navigating the city. We even privately started calling him our grandfather because he cared about our trip with the same warmth and attentiveness you would expect from family. Our Hiroshima guides were incredibly kind and thoughtful, and we found ourselves wishing we had more time there. I even teared up saying goodbye to them at the train station. I would happily recommend AJT again because our Tokyo and Hiroshima guides added so much to our overall experience.

Enjoyed the tour for great hotels, variety of Japanese foods, places to see along with a great guide !! Would have never been able to do so much without the pre planned agenda. Our group was only 24 people which was great for getting to know everyone. Our guide, Wun was great in sharing all details and history in clear English and keeping us on schedule as we travelled location to location. Our guide also made great efforts to accommodate various dietary needs and assisted in shopping for those with specific wants. Would definitely recommend AJT tours. Lastly, our bus driver was amazing in travelling across Japan so smoothly and without incident. Thank you very much everyone.

Excellent tour with gorgeous scenery and stunning cultural visits and experiences. Great breakfast buffets and I loved the variety of Japanese cuisines included with the tour. Definite must for first time visitors to Japan, as we visited sites that we would never have thought of visiting on our own, and our tour guide took care of all tickets and entrance fees for the various shrines and temples, making the visits stress free.

We had a lovely tour of the beautiful autumn leaves as well as several cultural activities and historical sites in Japan. It was my family's first time in Japan and they loved their experience thanks to AJT. Miss Kim Kida was a wonderful tour guide! She is extremely informative and took great care of us throughout the tour, even when the number of people in our tour group increased. We loved that she was very passionate about Japanese culture and heritage, we have learned so much from her. We were also very grateful that AJT could accommodate our religious dietary needs when organizing meals, it was a major plus for us. Also, the transportation from city to city was well organized by the best drivers. We want to personally thank Mr. Shibata, Mr. iwai, and Mr. Aizawa for taking care of us and making us feel welcome whenever we got back to the bus.
