We had an incredible experience with All Japan Tours and feel very grateful for the care and integrity with which our tour was honoured — especially given the unique circumstances of us being the only travellers for the first week, along with the fuel constraints at the time. This level of commitment did not go unnoticed and felt like a real act of generosity. Our time with Billy-san, Lynn-san and our drivers was truly special. They were thoughtful, considerate, and deeply knowledgeable. We particularly appreciated how they prepared us to be respectful and mindful visitors in Japan — this added a layer of cultural depth that made the experience even more meaningful. The itinerary itself was exceptional in both its breadth and depth. From the historic and iconic sites such as Himeji Castle and Miyajima, to the more reflective and spiritual experiences — including Koyasan, temple lodging, meditation with monks, and walking sections of the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage trail — we felt we were being gently guided into many different dimensions of Japanese life and history . The food throughout the tour was outstanding and thoughtfully catered to our dietary requirements, which we deeply appreciated. The activities included were equally memorable — from the tea ceremony and time with a Maiko, to the sushi-making experience and opportunities to connect more personally with Japanese culture and traditions. These experiences felt immersive rather than performative, and that meant a great deal to us. There were many highlights, including the spa hotels in Nagano and on Nakanoshima Island, which were peaceful, restorative, and beautifully curated. The variation across the journey — from pilgrimage trails and mountain temples, to gardens, festivals, and vibrant cities like Kyoto and Tokyo — created a wonderful rhythm and sense of unfolding discovery. We also loved the Takayama Spring Festival and the way the itinerary allowed us to experience both seasonal beauty (cherry blossoms) and living traditions . Overall, everything was seamless, enriching, and thoughtfully organised. We felt very well looked after throughout and cannot speak highly enough of the entire experience — the guides, the drivers, and the All Japan Tours team. This journey felt less like a tour and more like a thoughtful introduction into the heart of Japan — its culture, its history, and its ways of being.

Our 15 day Autumn Leaves Tour exceeded our expectations beautiful hotels and locations with very knowledgeable guides. We really find it hard to pick our favorite stop we we're extremely happy with everything on Shikoku Pilgrimage and Kii peninsula. We thoroughly enjoyed touring with Miharu and Barbara! They both did an outstanding excellent job taking care of us, arranging visits to many interesting sites, explaining the Japanese culture, introducing regional Japanese foods and providing a wonderful fun experience that we will always remember. The very well done descriptive placards/slides really helped us remember details of Japanese history and interesting facts of the sights. The accommodations were all excellent. The hotel spas and courteous amenities (toothbrushes, shavers, etc.) were unexpected but appreciated. The hotel breakfasts were very good and we had no problems finding foods to our liking...some Japanese treats and some western foods. We are accustomed to softer bed mattresses but sufficiently coped as part of the travel experience. The bus transportation in well maintained vehicles was comfortable and the professional drivers did an outstanding job keeping us safe on the roads. Rest stops were timed perfectly so everyone was comfortable especially during the longer rides. The tour description was perfect so we knew what to expect. The broad range of sites from temples, shrines, markets, a castle, gardens, and views of the terrain thru the mountains kept the pace surprising and exciting. Your customer support was very helpful arranging our preferred cooked not raw dishes, informative and was always responsive to our needs. We appreciate that you answered all our many questions during the tour and for the pictures you sent along too. Thank you very much!
