This is my first time with AJT and is one of my favorite tours!! Our guide Billy is wonderful. He went above and beyond to take care of us and is very knowledgeable about all the beautiful places in Hokkaido we visited. We enjoyed every meal, especially fresh seafood and Tonkatsu.

Everything was great! Our tour guide Billy gave us a lot of useful information and he was able to rearranged the itinerary a bit due to weather. Our driver was also very accommodating. The itinerary was very efficient and we are able to see a lot of sights and major highlights during the tour.

Excellent tour; so many activities and places packed into 8 touring days! The tour was an excellent blend of the big city festivals, such as those in Sapporo, with those in smaller towns such as Asahikawa and Sounkyo. The visit to the Ski Jump Observatory was amazing, particularly coming on the first day of the 2026 Winter Olympics. The tour of the Okhotsk Ryu-hyo Museum in Abashiri and, especially, the trip aboard the icebreaking vessel, were particular highlights for me. Ms. Kim was an outstanding guide, being very knowledgeable of Hokkaido and the Ainu culture; she provided meaningful insights throughout the tour while somehow keeping us all on schedule! Unfortunately, I don't recall the name of the driver we had for all but the first day of the tour, but I must comment here that he was amazing! There were several days in which we were driving in near blizzard conditions or heavy traffic; he was very calm and careful throughout.

The Charms of Hokkaido Tour increased my awareness and knowledge of Northern Japan. Such a wonderful experience to experience the culture, nature and fresh food. The food was definitely top notch and did not disappoint our tastebuds. Would definitely recommend this fabulous trip to others. Arigato!

Our tour guide was fantastic. She had sense of humor and her knowledge of Hokkaido was excellent. Also the bus drivers specially the second driver was very considerate and kind. We enjoyed the Hokkaido trip more than we expected. We will tell our friends about the trip.

The itinerary for the tour was excellent. We had a great time and enjoyed all the sites. The hotels were nice, but small. However, the staff at all the hotel were very nice and helpful. The only drawback was that some of the activities planned were unavailable. Kim was an excellent guide and went way beyond her job to assist us.
